Hungary is a character in the popular webcomic and anime series Hetalia. She is depicted as a beautiful young woman with long, curly red hair and green eyes. She wears a traditional Hungarian folk costume, and is often seen carrying a palinka bottle. She is known to be proud, outspoken, and very proud of her country's culture. She is also known to be very good at cooking, especially traditional Hungarian dishes. Hungary is often seen as a protective older sister figure to her male neighbour, Austria. She is also close friends with the Baltic sisters, Lithuania and Latvia, and has a strong rivalry with Romania.
